Meet the Vega Builders Family
We’re a dedicated crew of 14, each with our own superpowers — whether it’s the master carpenters crafting perfection, the apprentices learning the ropes, or the project manager, estimator, and behind-the-scenes crew that keep everything running smoothly. Like family, we’re committed to each other and to every project we take on, taking pride in making sure your project is done right, with the care and honesty we’d want for our own homes. Integrity and quality are at the heart of everything we do— because your trust is as important to us as the craftsmanship we put into every build.

Rocco Vega
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
With nearly three decades in construction, Rocco brings deep experience, a hands-on approach, and a genuine love for the craft. He started out as a laborer 28 years ago and worked his way up through the ranks—gaining experience at some of the top construction firms in the country. Originally from sunny San Diego, he’s called the Pacific Northwest home for the past 20 years. These days, he plays a key leadership role at Vega Builders, focusing on quality work, strong relationships, and continued growth. Outside of work, Rocco’s often scuba diving, exploring somewhere new, or deep into a game of poker with good friends.
-
Ellie Limnios
CONTROLLER
Originally from Chicago, Ellie moved to Washington in 2019 with her family. After over a decade as a homemaker, homeschooling her five kids, she returned to the workforce ready to take on new challenges. Before this, Ellie managed busy retail stores, sharpening her skills in leadership, operations, team management, and customer care. Now, as Controller at Vega Builders, she keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes—overseeing accounting, HR, and the logistics that keep the business humming and the team supported. Outside of work, Ellie’s a coffee-loving, board game–playing book nerd who’s always up for an adventure—or a good nap.

Nicholas Serdar
SUPERINTENDENT
Nicholas has been in construction since 2001 and still loves a good challenge—the harder, the better. As our Superintendent, he keeps projects moving with a sharp eye for detail, a steady hand, and a deep appreciation for doing things right. He thrives on problem-solving and teamwork and takes real pride in turning complex jobs into beautifully finished spaces. He’s also the guy who’s always got a helpful tip, a calm presence, and probably a few backup tools in his truck… just in case.
Off the clock, Nicholas is a horror-loving cinema buff, a tech whiz who builds PCs for fun, and a devoted dad who’s happiest hiking, cooking, or exploring the Puget Sound with his kids. He’s all about learning, growing, and helping others along the way.

Niels Summers
JOURNEYMAN CARPENTER
A Bainbridge Island native, Niels has been with Vega Builders since day one. With about five years in construction, he brings steady reliability, a great attitude, and a love for the ever-changing nature of the work. He’s a valued part of the crew and always shows up ready to get things done. Outside of work, Niels is fully remodeling his own home (so yes, he builds even on his days off), and when he does find free time, he’s usually out golfing or working on his woodworking skills.
-
Luke Tucker
APPRENTICE CARPENTER
Born and raised on Bainbridge Island, Luke has construction in his blood—his dad worked in the trades, and Luke grew up watching him build. With four years of hands-on experience under his belt, he’s become an essential part of the crew. He’s at his best when the sun’s shining, the project is big, and everyone’s working together to get it done right. Luke likes to joke that Rocco “found” him when Vega Builders got started—and he’s been part of the ride ever since. After work, you’ll find him at the gym (his favorite part of the day), and on his days off, he’s usually tearing up trails on his dirt bike.
-
Q Hollis
APPRENTICE TILESETTER
Q has an eye for detail and a serious appreciation for good tile work—the more variety, the better. He’s all about precision, pattern, and making things look sharp. After crossing paths with Rocco one too many times to ignore (fate, maybe?), he eventually joined the Vega crew, and we’re glad he did. Q brings great energy to the team and knows how to keep things light while getting the job done right. Off the job, Q spends his time coaching baseball, playing disc golf, or enjoying live music.
-
Brett Heintz
JOURNEYMAN CARPENTER
With over 40 years in the trades, Brett brings a wealth of experience—and a deep appreciation for the craft—to every project. For him, construction isn’t just a job, it’s an art. He loves the creative side of building and takes pride in the details that make a space truly stand out. Outside of work, he’s all about slowing down and spending time enjoying family or exploring the great outdoors—usually camping, fishing, or hiking somewhere peaceful.
-
Scott Vega
PROJECT COORDINATOR
Originally from San Diego (and still proudly rocking that 619 area code), Scott fell for the Pacific Northwest at 18 and never looked back. With 20 years of experience running advertising firms, what started as a temporary detour into construction turned into something deeper—working alongside family and learning from expert craftsmen gave the job unexpected meaning. Scott is a devoted dad who’s happiest building Lego sets with his son or playing the guitar and singing his heart out. A former chef, he finds real joy in cooking, teaching, and sharing it with others. And if there’s one thing that runs deep—it’s baseball. It’s in his soul.
-
Penn Maroni
APPRENTICE CARPENTER
Born and raised on Bainbridge Island, Penn jumped into construction right after high school and hasn’t looked back. He’s been building for five years now and still gets a kick out of taking on new challenges and creating cool things. Outside of work, he’s either out fishing or hanging with his dogs—who, by the way, are incredibly well trained (thanks to him).
-
Jacob High
CARPENTER
Originally from Alaska, Jake brings a love of problem-solving and hands-on work to everything he does. He got his start with yardwork, then worked his way up—fences, garden beds, and now full-on builds. He’s happiest when he's outside, whether he’s fishing, working, or just soaking it all in. Oh—and he used to be in the circus! Ask him about it sometime—he’s got the stories to prove it.
-
Sam Fox
JOURNEYMAN CARPENTER
Sam grew up in the Hansville area and on job sites—his dad’s a contractor, so the sawdust’s in his blood! He’s been building since 2015 and loves watching a job come together, especially when the tools are fancy and the teamwork is solid. These days, his favorite thing is hanging out with his wife and daughter… but golf, skiing, hiking, fantasy football, and tinkering with his old Toyota truck all make the list too.
-
Dan Snelson
LEAD PAINTER
After three decades in construction, Dan still finds energy and inspiration in the variety each project brings—no two days are ever the same, and that’s just how he likes it. His career path has been anything but ordinary: in addition to construction, he’s also coached professional football, worn the stripes as a referee, and been a radio broadcaster. Dan is our go-to for painting and drywall, but he’s just as comfortable with a toolbelt on. When he’s off the clock, chances are he’s out hiking, kayaking, or hiking again… seriously, the man loves a good trail!
